24th May
Kiera, Jim, Meeb, Alex, Dan and Peter went down to the woods on Sunday to plan things out. The weather was wonderful and the woods were stunning. Bluebells were carpeting the floor of the woods and everything was looking perfect. Lots of plans were made for decorating the area as we sat in the sun and it was great to be able to visualise how it is all going to look when people start arriving on the 11th June.
We took a few photographs while we there so that you can see what the woods are looking like at the moment.
The workshop programme will be announced later on this week. We will now be using 3 venues on site for the workshops in the roundhouses and buildings there. We now have a great range of speakers and workshop facilitators and we are all really looking forward to a fantastic week-end - and we have put in our order for beautiful sunshine with the occassional breeze to keep us from over-heating.
The bluebells in bloom.
The Hobbit House
The Roundhouse - main workshop venue.
The Small Roundhouse - 2nd workshop venue
The Eye - This will be the setting for the Story Telling Workshop, where your creative side can come out and give birth to your own tales. At other times during the weekend, The Eye will be a place for silent meditation and contemplation. We're not sure what caused the rainbow effect in the top right of the picture, but it looks like a good omen to us.
This is the view from the dining area - Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be available for those wishing to purchase their meals rather than cooking in their tents. There is also a very good cafe/restaurant within easy walking distance of the woods.
And judging from the specks of light floating around the Hobbit House in these next two pictures, the faery folk are ready to welcome you all to The Sacred Labryrinth Healing Camp at Woodhouse Wood
